I am among the privileged few to beta read for Michael Reisig. The author radiates compassionate humanity and this composite puts you squarely in his treasured guest category of close friends. You can’t read his books without nodding your head in knowing acceptance that these were deeply personal revelations about his amazing survival and how these books came to be written.

Protagonist Kansas and his buddy have a close cadre of support from ‘Nam pilot Crazy Eddie to Rufus, the rastaman. It was Rufus who said, “Sometimes the Gods, they throw you a bone.”   I love them all.

If you’re a purist, you may wish to begin with The Road to Key West (#1 in the series) but that is not necessary as these can all be standalone books. Each and every narrative brings you a new and fast-paced, incredible adventure.

Beautiful charismatic pictures (most in brilliant Kindle color) are peppered throughout the delicious introduction to each book, inviting you in. (The print book is available, but pictures are in black and white.) Please don’t ask me which is my favorite. Each new addition to the series was my favorite–until Michael published another–and you know how that goes. :) 😉

If you’ve read his series, this book will give you insight, otherwise, this short chronicle will give you the taste for more. More adventure…more exotic locales, more treasure hunts, more romance, more desperados, high-jinx and rollicking excitement all contained in his Road to Key West books. The Author: (From Goodreads Author page) Michael Reisig has been writing professionally for 15 years. He is a former newspaper editor and publisher, an award-winning columnist, and a best-selling novelist…His works have been optioned for motion pictures, sold to overseas publishers, and produced in CD, audio, and e-book format. Reisig was born in Enid, Oklahoma, in 1948. The first son of a military family, he was raised in Europe and California before moving to Florida. He attended high school and college in the Tampa Bay area. After graduating from college, he relocated to the Florida Keys, establishing a commercial diving business in which he served as the company pilot, traveling extensively throughout the southern hemisphere, diving, treasure hunting, and adventuring. From there he turned to journalism, putting many of his experiences into the pages of his novels and columns, going on to manage, then own newspapers.
