I’m thrilled to be part of the audiobook tour for iRead Book Tours. Murder by Perfection is my first experience with the author and this series. I’ll be spotlighting and reviewing Book 4 in June.

My Review:
A fast, fun, and satisfying romp with the Thornton group. It’s a suspense, mystery, thriller, and police procedural all rolled into one with the added benefit of the author’s inclusion of animals of various descriptions–not just a dog, although it would also be that, of course. Loved the humorous dialogue between characters in an engaging and very entertaining narrative with just the right amount of tension mounting clues and suspects.
There are multi-layers and threads to drive interest as well as character growth, and this appeared to be as much character-driven as solid mystery. The characters include an AI named Nigel, the first I’ve seen (or heard) in a mystery book who added additional dimension and plunked you in the household. With everything going on, the storyline never sags and the conclusion is neatly laid out so that any remaining questions are resolved.
I particularly enjoyed the narrator, Mike Alger. So many times, he added extra flavor to the audiobook with specific characterizations. I’m really looking forward to receiving audiobook Book 4, The Nutcracker Conspiracy. It’s going to be fun!
